São Paulo-BR: The Students Are Occupying The Schools

In Brazil, the students are occupying the schools in response to the authoritarians decisions of São Paulo's Governor.

The government said that the changes will bring improvements and better quality for education. However, the education department announced the closing of 96 schools.

According to students, they were not informed about the closing and changing of the schools; and the changes are to cut costs and diminish the system of education.

The governor's party has been disrupting the educational system through low salary and less and less investments in infrastructure and teacher's formation. Besides that, the quantity of children per class is growing in the last twenty years.

There has never been a movement of this magnitude between secondary students in Brazil.

I am very proud of this generation.
